Job Overview
Founders Law LLC is looking for a diligent and driven attorney with 4+ years of experience for our growing corporate practice, which advises entrepreneurs, startups, and venture capital funds as outside counsel. The successful candidate will share the entrepreneurial spirit of our clients and thrive in our growing firm that acts and feels like a startup itself. The position is remote while our new location is being built (available February 2023), and then will be hybrid.
Position Highlights

- Outside counsel role provides transaction variety, including capital raise, acquisition, and joint
venture transactions. - The role emphasizes long-term development, simultaneously building hard skills (research,
drafting) and soft skills (business development, negotiation, client counseling). - Unique compensation structure emphasizes incentive compensation for hours worked and
business generated. - Ability to build your own practice with the existing EC/VC practice group.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Communicate with clients to address open issues and tasks.
- Supervise associates and staff to efficiently achieve client goals.
- Interface with internal and external specialist counsel as needed for client issues.
- Prepare, review, revise, and finalize agreements for use by clients.
- Build a book of business with full firm support, resources, and guidance.
Qualifications
- Minimum four (4) years of transactional legal experience as a licensed attorney.
- An existing book of business, or other demonstrated capacity for business development.
- Excellent communication, organization, and document management skills.
- Willingness to improve technical, legal, and business skills on the job.
- Interest in and passion for entrepreneurship required; prior experience with startups a plus.
